Show her that you have a good driving record and drive safely. This will let her know that you are mature enough to handle a small motorcycle suitable for gas saving. If you are not the safe driver that I assumed you are, you have no business on a motorcycle.

It sounds like You need to do some serious ******* up to her and show her how “cough cough” ultra responsible you are. She doesn’t want to see You go out and wrap your brains around a tree and thats all part of being a good parent. If You drive your truck in a reckless manner she already has your number and convincing her will be next to impossible. She is in a catch 22 position. If she gives you the ok and you go out and meet you maker she will never be able to live with herself. Being a mom isn’t all sunshine and hagen daz. I ride and fully understand your position but I’m also a parent and I understand hers too. My sons 13 and has been riding for 8 years now because of me. He’s amazing on two wheels but I’m scared silly he will want to hit the streets in a couple of years. Loosing him to a motorcycle accident would destroy me because I would forever feel at fault…

I agree with personx64 and Zach B. If you’re not a mature, responsible driver, you have absolutely NO business on a bike. It’s irresponsible children that go out and kill themselves on bikes that give bikes the reputation of being dangerous and destroy parents’ lives. I’ve been riding for 40+ years and have kids of my own. If you mom is that adamant about you NOT having a bike, then she MUST have GOOD reason. Wait until you’re of legal age, get a job, move out on your own and then get a bike.
